This is an exciting time to be involved in oil and gas pipeline projects .Even in recessionary times recruiting suitably skilled and qualified people can be very challenging.
Our goal is to promote the establishment of ultrasound simulation tools for Auditors in UT and AUT and to provide provably competent personnel. In this way we can assure the integrity of QA/QC people who inspect the worlds pipelines, particular\arly in environmentally sensitive areas of the world. The major oil and gas pipeline companies have invested many billions of dollars in improving the work site environment and the use of AUT, rather than radiography is a an example of leading edge technology that is being employed in the industry..Ultrasound inspection methods are much safer and less harmful to the environment than traditional X-Ray. There are also fewer repairs and increased productivity, without compromising weld integrity.
CSWIP PCN and ASNT are highly respected certifications in the pipeline industry and CSWIP ,in particular, offer world class training for AUT inspectors. Our simulation tools detailed on this site are training aids that can supplement traditional teaching methods and improve understanding .
We are delighted that British Gas Transco were the first company in the world to endorse our training methodology. Argylle Ruane ,NDT training have employed our simulation software for training AUT auditors since 2004 and their program has recently been accredited by one of the world leading classification societies.
I have been involved in the recruitment of oil and gas personnel since 1976 and in that time there have been many changes. In the 1970s ,the only way to send a cv or resume was thru the post . In the early 1980s leading recruiters would telex a candidate details to the client. In the 1990s it was the fax .....and then came email.
